Thank you for your interest in New York City Private Piano Lessons. I am using a combination of piano teaching methods, which are customized for the age and level of the student. All ages and levels are welcome! Private piano lessons are designed to be a traditional approach to the study of piano: developing a solid piano technique and a fluid ability to be able to play classical, jazz and modern piano literature. It's not just a piano lesson. It's a comprehensive, intensive and fun music program that integrates study of piano technique, phrasing, rhythm, music theory, harmony, singing, conducting, music history, and sight reading into every piano lesson on various levels based on the various need of the students.

The arrangement of bones and muscles in the body is a marvel of engineering. Your hand alone has 27 bones.

Under my instruction, you will learn how to use your hands, fingers, elbows, forearms, arms, shoulders, and body weight correctly that will give your music a fluid and pleasing sound—and you’ll do it effortlessly regardless of how simple or complex the piano piece may be. Do you need to improve your piano sight reading ability? I am an excellent sight reader and will show you specific strategies you can immediately employ that will improve your own. Are you simply a beginner and don’t know where to start? I am the most patient, technically proficient, understanding yet results oriented piano teacher you’ll ever find. Whether you are a beginner, an intermediate or advanced piano player, I will help you achieve your goal. I am one of the best at what I do. Born, raised and trained in St. Petersburg, Russia. I have been teaching piano in the United States for the past 10 years. I speak English and Russian fluently.
