Pianist Samantha Cho is a piano teacher and performer based in Santa Clara, CA. In fall 2016, she joined the San Francisco Conservatory of Music Pre-College Division as chamber music faculty and staff pianist. Recent projects include performances with members of the San Francisco Symphony and Lee Trio, giving an all-Schumann Lieder recital with SFCM voice faculty Eun-mee Ko at SFCM, and collaborating with Kenwood Symphony.

Also passionate in teaching, she coached students privately and in an ensemble setting at Music at Tateuchi during the summer of 2017, and maintains a private piano studio throughout the year. Her teaching is centered on the belief that performing regularly -- even in an informal setting -- is important to the development of a young musician. She also adjusts her teaching to the student’s musical background and specific needs.

Samantha graduated from Northwestern University, Cleveland Institute of Music and University of Minnesota. She is grateful to the following teachers: Robert Turner, Edwin Deveny, Paul Schenly, Kathryn Brown and Alexander Braginsky.
