There has been a scam going around targeting innocent MTNA music teachers
(especially female teachers). They usually asks for a lesson for his child, send
advanced payment with a bogus check, and ask for a refund. The scam email seems
to come from overseas. If you receive this kind of email, treat it as a SCAM.
Never respond to this type of scam email, and definitely never send your check.
Here is a typical first scam email.
