Stephanie Safko is a music educator, pianist, flutist and vocal coach. She specializes in vocal accompanying and chamber music. Ms. Safko has a BM in Music Education from Marywood University and a MM in Collaborative piano from the Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University. Her piano studies include both solo piano and chamber music. Also, she is completing a second Master’s program in Literacy Instruction to obtain a Reading Specialist Certificate.

Ms. Safko is a K-12 certified music teacher in NY and NJ. She currently teaches instrumental music in the Hoboken Public Schools in NJ; where she directs the elementary band. Her students perform in concerts, parades, and community events.

Her philosophy on teaching is that all students can learn music. She believes children can develop music skills at a young age that they can use for the rest of their lives. Ms. Safko teaches all beginning band instruments. She specializes in beginner and advanced piano and flute instruction. Also, she coaches singers preparing for auditions and concerts.

Ms. Safko teaches private lessons both in NY and NJ. She is staff accompanist in the music department at the Steven’s Institute of Technology in NJ. She accompanies the Stevens College Choir and student vocal recitals.

Ms. Safko accompanies both vocalists and instrumentalists in many recitals in the NY/NJ area throughout the year. She is a vocal coach in theater, art song, opera, pop, and Broadway music. She specializes in teaching piano, flute, and music theory.
