Alice Ji, originally from Korea, is known for her gift and passion for teaching students. Her top students have won auditions and performed such prestigious venues as the Carnegie Hall, the Mansion at the Strathmore, and the Steinway Hall. Her students have successfully passed internationally-recognized performance assessments such as Royal Conservatory of Music Examinations. Some of her students have been studying with her for more than 7 consecutive years.

Alice Ji holds a Bachelor of Music degree in piano performance at Dongduk Women's University with scholarships, and a Master of Music in piano performance at the University of Colorado at Boulder with full graduate assistantship from CU-Boulder and study-aboard scholarship from Dongduk Women's University. Having had studied with a renowned Korean pianist Hue-am Park (a prizewinner of the Olivier Messiaen International Contemporary Piano Competition), American pianists Dr. Andrew Cooperstock and Jose Ramos Santana, Ms. Ji has broad knowledge on pianism and utilizes it on her teaching.

A prizewinner of American Protégé Piano and Strings Competition and MTNA Colorado State Young Artist Competition, Alice Ji has performed at Carnegie Hall's Weill Recital Hall, Kennedy Center’s Millennium Stage, Vianden Castle in Luxembourg, Montgomery College Cultural Arts Center in Maryland, Straus Auditorium in North Carolina, Yuldong Memorial Concert Hall at Dongduk Women’s University in Seoul, Korea, Grusin Hall at the University of Colorado at Boulder, and many others.

She has been on the faculty member at the International School of Music in Bethesda, Maryland since 2009, and is an adjudicator at the Performance Evaluation and Certificate Program and Honors Auditions at the ISM. She has served on the jury of Young Artist Award Competition in Gaithersburg, Maryland since 2013.

Alice Ji currently teaches selective students in her private studio in Arlington, Virginia. She is a performing member at the Friday Morning Music Club in Washington D.C., and an active member of Music Teachers National Association (MTNA), Virginia Music Teachers Association, and Northern Virginia Music Teachers Association.
