My well rounded approach to teaching piano, music theory, and organ has been influenced by a lifetime of music study and performance. Along the way I earned a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance (Summa Cum Laude 3.89) from Wheaton College, where I also studied organ and harpsichord and tutored for three years as a music theory assistant. I also completed Master’s Degrees in Piano Pedagogy and Organ Performance (both Summa Cum Laude 4.0) at Eastern Michigan University. As a graduate assistant, I taught class piano and piano lessons to college students. My approach to teaching young students has also been influenced by completing Kindermusik Certification for introducing preschoolers to music, and I currently teach music in a Montessori classroom.

As a full time professional musician, I am also active as an accompanist for concerts, special events, recitals, auditions, and solo & ensemble. I serve as the Director of Music & Liturgy at a local church, where I play the piano and organ, sing, and direct children’s choirs, adult choir, and handbells.

Professional memberships include Music Teachers National Association, National Federation of Music Clubs, American College of Musicians (National Guild of Piano Teachers), Choristers Guild, and National Pastoral Musicians.

I accept students of all skill levels from age six through adult. Please visit my website for more information about my studio and my approach to teaching.
