My name is Jeremey McMillan. I currently reside in Chelsea, Alabama. I work at the Alabama School for the Blind as a piano and elementary music teacher. I teach from a variety of private piano methods (and modifications of the methods) that fit the needs and the learning styles of the students. I must note, however, that I predominantly teach from the Piano Adventures method books if modifications are not needed.

Before accepting the position at the Alabama School for the Blind in 2009, I was the choral director for a middle school in Jefferson County Schools. I also taught private piano lessons under the University of Montevallo Community School.

I hold a Bachelor of Music degree in piano performance from the University of Montevallo (2008). I hold certificates to teach vocal/choral music grades p-12 in the State of Alabama (2008) and a certificate to teach students with visual impairments (2011). I hold a Master's degree in special education from the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB, 2011), and I currently plan to pursue an education specialist (Ed.S) degree from the University of Montevallo.

My studio is primarily at my home in Chelsea, AL. I have a Kawai grand piano with a responsive and slightly heavy action that will give the students a "universal technique" where they will feel comfortable playing on any piano at any venue. There is also an area available where parents can sit while their students have a lesson. The area comes complete with a large flat screen TV and even a digital piano where students who are waiting can practice their music or theory.
